Preliminary planning and design of a tourism and cultural complex in Anhui
Project one is on the Alum Hill historical site in Lujiang County, Hefei. This site has been included in the key development projects of Anhui Province, and I had the opportunity to lead the design project for this important undertaking. Over a period of three months, my team at M.A.O design worked tirelessly to develop a national tourism benchmark using 5A scenic design standards.
The project covers an area of over 30,000 square metres, and is divided into three phases - a phase one industrial tourism take, a phase two hotel area, and a phase three township residential area. Our design concept for the project was "an extraordinary city," which has a double entendre. We collaborated with the Southeast University Design Institute to bring this concept to life, working on building renovation, architectural design, landscape design, and planning.
Our goal was to create a project that would not only be visually stunning, but also functionally efficient and sustainable. We were driven by a passion for design excellence, and we believe that our work on the Alum Hill historical site sets a new standard for national tourism projects.
